Prof. (Dr). Gautam Sen, Founder Chairman- Healthspring Family Health Experts delivered an oration at the10th Asian Conference on Emergency Medicine held between 7th-10th NovinNew Delhi. The conference was organized by The Asian Society for Emergency Medicine (ASEM) and Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI).
The theme of the conference was“Affordable Care, Bridging Gaps, Creating Impact”. Prof. Sen highlighted the importance of affordable & sustainable care to derive better health outcomes. He emphasized on how several Evidence Based Studies have demonstrated that the Individual and the Nation’s health outcomes at an affordable cost, can be best achieved at a Primary Care Level. He also talked about it being all comprehensive and robust wherein P4 Medicine of 21st Century healthcare principles could be achieved.
Further, the ROI for receiver of healthcare, provider of healthcare and for the payer of the service is best at the entry-level of care where P4 Medicine can be practiced. In our country, payer is the same who seeks the service (75% of GDP expenditure out of pocket).
