Chairman and Founder
Professor Gautam Sen is the Chairman and Co-founder of Healthspring, which he set up with his son, Kaushik with an aim to bring high-quality primary care to India, and to transform Indian healthcare delivery. With more than three-and-half decades in practicing General Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Dr Sen has held a number of distinguished roles in the past, including a recently completed year-long term at the 6-member board of governors for the Medical Council of India, during which he was the prime driver of an increased focus on Family Medicine.
He is currently Director of Surgical Education at the Association of Surgeons of India, Chairman of College of Surgeons of India, President of the Association for Trauma Care of India, and founding Secretary and past Chairman of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Indian Chapter.
Co-Founder and CEO
Kaushik started Healthspring in 2010 along with Dr. Gautam Sen.
Kaushik previously worked with management consulting firm Bain & Co. in Boston, Singapore and Delhi for over 11 years. At Bain, Kaushik worked extensively in Healthcare (Hospitals, pharma and medical devices) and Private Equity. When Bain opened an India office in 2005,He was an instrumental member in establishing the office. Kaushik was most recently a Principal in Bain India. In 2009, he left Bain to start Healthspring.
Chief, Medical Operations
As Chief of Medical Operations at Healthspring, Capt. Kushilab Bose is directly responsible for delivering quality care across the many Healthspring centres. He also provides strategic direction to the patient-centric approach at Healthspring.
Capt. Bose leads from the front, with over twenty years of operational experience with Indian Navy, where he rendered seven years of his sea service on board all classes of warships. He was also in charge of training of paramedics for Indian Navy as Principal of Paramedic Training College and a member of the implementation team for enterprise level naval health information system across naval hospitals.
He has gained considerable and invaluable experience and expertise in medical operations and planning, from his time as Joint Director of Medical Services at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi.
Director, Occupational Health
With Bachelors in Mathematics from Fergusson College Pune and a Masters Degree in International Business, Moin Kazi has successfully handled significant roles with Fortune 500 companies. He brings with him a vast global experience and a solid track record of achieving sustainable and consistent growth.
Prior to his association with Healthspring, Moin was the CEO of Amelio Medicorp, Mumbai with core competency in occupational health and wellness. He was the Director –Global Strategic Initiatives with the US Based BPO firm – Sutherland Global Services and successfully handled process excellence and global expansion in Asia, Middle East, Europe, North America & Caribbean and Latin America. Moin excels in building high-growth strategies, process improvement and solution development.
